The SF food scene continues to kill it

As if I needed another reason to be such a lucky culinary student.

Bon Appetit named State Bird Provisions 2012's Best New Restaurant, followed by a wonderful article to boot. This coincides nicely with Danny Bowien exporting San Francisco staple Mission Chinese to New York. (Mission Chinese took Bon Appetit's #2 distinction last year). A mere 49 square miles worth of food reputation continues to grow, upwards and outwards.

Damn; I had yet to make my way to State Bird before the uber-press got there. I feel like I'll be regretting my patience.

Nonetheless: congrats, Chefs! And thank you for molding this little peninsula's culinary landscape. What a fantastic place to live and learn.
